Transforming Choice is an alcohol detox and rehabilitation service based in Sefton Park, just outside of Liverpool City Centre. People using our service should be primarily alcohol dependent, but we can also help if they use other substances secondary to alcohol.

Transforming Choice is an alcohol tapering detox followed by a personalised 11-week rehabilitation programme. We provide sustainable, long-term techniques to navigate away from alcohol dependence and lead happier, healthier and more productive lives.

We also offer a peer-led community programme, available to anyone in recovery, including day trips, events, yoga and much more, to allow individuals to make connections and continue their recovery in meaningful and fulfilling environments.

How to volunteer

If you would like to volunteer your time with Transforming Choice, please check our website for opportunities to build your confidence and give back to the community. If you are in recovery, a minimum of nine months sober is recommended before applying for volunteering positions.
